The 2014 Building Regulations, Technical Guidance Document E (on Sound) sets out minimum acoustic standards that must be achieved. This document is also known as TGD-E and can be view here.
Since the 1st. July 2015, for newly commenced domestic structures, a minimum sample of sound tests must be carried out on the separating elements between dwellings.
For ICAN Acoustics building and construction clients, we offer pre-completion testing to provide evidence that the sound insulation performance achieved by the separating wall or floor meets the required minimum standards for airborne and impact noise.
